As part of an effort to promote values like friendship, inclusion, and group identity, our Grade 12 students have been organizing a series of weekly theme days throughout the first trimester. This student-led initiative is supported by our Educational Relations Coordinator, Nathan Shahar, and guided by their tutors, Mr. Alexandre de Mattos and Ms. Juliana Gomes.Far more than just a fun activity, these theme days have become a meaningful ritual that strengthens peer bonds and celebrates the students’ final year in school. Inspired by a century-old Brazilian tradition that began in universities, the trote has evolved into a symbolic rite of passage in many high schools, blending creativity, collective spirit, and a deep sense of belonging. Each week, students propose new, inclusive themes that allow them to express themselves while fostering a respectful and welcoming environment for everyone. With creativity and good humor, these activities have brought color, joy, and togetherness to our school hallways. We deeply value student-driven projects that encourage ethical relationships, a sense of community, and authentic engagement in school life.
