All students from Teens 6 to Teens 9 engage in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). The Brazilian curriculum is seamlessly integrated within the MYP framework, providing a cohesive and internationally recognized education across all subjects.

Every day at Escola Internacional is filled with exciting learning experiences and discoveries for your child. While timetables vary across the year groups, here’s an example of what happens between the lessons in our Teen classes.
7:15 – 8:00am Students start their day with extra support in language, math and other subjects, followed by a warm welcome from staff to begin the school day.
8:00 – 9:30am Learners begin the school day with engaging lessons, exploring new topics with curiosity.
9:30 – 10:00am A quick snack to recharge before continuing the day.
10:00 – 11:30am Students return to class to explore new ideas and deepen their understanding.
11:30 – 11:50am A quick break to relax, play and interact with colleagues to get ready for the rest of the morning.
11:50am – 1:20pm Children finish their morning lessons and prepare for lunchtime.
1:20 – 2:15pm A chance to enjoy a healthy meal, relax, and recharge.
2:15 – 3:45pm Lessons continue with engaging activities that spark curiosity and creativity.
3:45 – 4:30pm Students receive additional support in language, math and other subjects to strengthen their skills.
3:45 – 6:00pm Students explore their interests and talents through fun and engaging activities like ILOS and sports.

Teen students continue their multilingual learning, exploring subjects in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

Students engage globally through ISP’s International Learning Opportunities (ILOS), collaborating with peers in dynamic experiences that develop leadership, teamwork, and global citizenship.
Additionally, their learning extends beyond the classroom through study trips to destinations including São Luiz do Paraitinga, Cananéia, PETAR, and Itatiaia, where students take part in multidisciplinary fieldwork.
They also join summer camps at Leysin American School in Switzerland, participate in academic competitions such as Math Kangaroo and Mathematics Without Borders, and explore global opportunities through exchanges at the University of Oxford and visits to top North American universities.
During their last year in Teens 9, students begin planning their future, exploring academic and career possibilities with the Unifrog platform and attending University Fairs.
With personalized guidance from our Teens program coordinator, they reflect on their strengths, uncover new opportunities, and gain the international perspective and confidence needed to make thoughtful decisions about their next steps.
I really like the school's versatility, offering a good education for those who want to attend college both inside and outside Brazil. I also admire the exchange programs the school offers, especially the Leysin summer camp, where I had a lot of fun and made friends of all nationalities.
