Carlos Maffia is an experienced educator with a strong passion for student learning and development. He holds a Master’s degree in Education from Framingham University (USA), along with Bachelor’s degrees in Pedagogy and Physical Education, and a certification in International School Leadership.
Currently serving as School Director at Escola Internacional de Alphaville, Carlos previously worked as School Director at SABIS® International School – Campinas (2020–2024) and as Coordinator of Elementary and Secondary Education at Sant’Anna International School.
Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his leadership, effective communication, and dedication to academic excellence. A native Portuguese speaker and fluent in English, Carlos is deeply committed to collaboration, ethics, and continuous learning in all aspects of his professional journey.
Ana Cláudia Chioccarello Favano is the founder and current manager of Escola Internacional de Alphaville. She was born into the school environment, as her family has built a career as teachers, principals and founders of schools and universities. Psychologist, educator and specialist in Ethical Coexistence, Well-Being Science and Self-Realization, she is the author of Positive Emotional Education programs, anti-bullying programs and Life Project programs. As an educational psychologist, in the early years of her career she set up and ran the Human Resources Department at São Judas Tadeu University. She founded the school of her dreams in Alphaville, creating and cultivating a culture of positive education, leading students and staff to an ethical education, with solid and respectful values and moral principles.
Passionate about communication and education, André Meira has built a career shaped by English and the transformative power of quality learning. His journey began at Escola Internacional de Alphaville, where eight formative years opened the doors to ESPM, Brazil’s top school of Advertising and Marketing.
Armed with strong academic and language foundations, André went on to work at HARTING, a global leader in industrial electrical connections, and OTIS, the world’s top manufacturer of elevators and escalators.
After a decade of experience in marketing, innovation, and international environments, he returned to Escola Internacional de Alphaville as a Marketing Specialist, working with ISP to strengthen the school’s communication and brand presence.
For André, returning to the institution that shaped his journey is a true homecoming - one filled with gratitude, purpose, and a deep belief in the power of education.
Bruna has a degree in Literature and Pedagogy, with a specialization in Positive Psychology, the Science of Well-Being and Self-Realization. She is currently the coordinator of Elementary School I in the IB-PYP curriculum at Escola Internacional de Alphaville, where she has worked for over a decade. In this role, she leads initiatives that recognize students' character strengths and promote their academic, emotional and social development. Bruna encourages pedagogical practices that stimulate investigation, autonomy and global thinking, while reinforcing cultural identity and valuing everyone's contribution to strengthening the school community.
Carla Litrenta Todaro, a pedagogue, began her career almost 30 years ago as a literacy teacher in the early grades. She made her way through the world of education, taking on the role of Pedagogical Relationships Coordinator more than 10 years ago. After a few years as the Relationships Coordinator for primary school, she took on the coordination of secondary school, when she discovered her passion for the world of teenagers! She has a postgraduate degree in “Positive Psychology: Science of Well-Being and Self-Realization” and also in “Bullying, Violence and Discrimination at School”. Fascinated by the study of relationships and human development, she has several certifications in renowned courses, among them: Parental Certification in Positive Discipline, Nonviolent Communication and Practitioner in Character Strengths.
Érika Scarparo Abreu is a pedagogue with over 25 years' experience in education. She also has a degree in Business Administration. Passionate about what she does, she has a postgraduate degree in Parental Education and various courses focused on children, positive education and non-violent communication. Throughout her career, she has worked on various fronts - from the classroom to management - always with ethics, sensitivity and dedication. She is recognized for her welcoming listening and for inspiring teachers, parents and students with balance and acceptance. She co-authored a chapter with a colleague in the book “Frustration at School: What Now?”, in which she shares her experiences and reflections.
Flavia Maria Pinto is a pedagogue who has worked for 25 years at Escola Internacional de Alphaville, where she started as a literacy teacher, bringing solid experience and a continuous commitment to professional improvement. She currently holds the position of Pedagogical Relationship Coordinator, with a focus on serving families. She is part of the Ethical Coexistence and Science of Well-Being project, which aims to contribute to the development of students, forming empathetic citizens who are prepared for the challenges of the world. She constantly keeps up to date with pedagogical practices, including studies on the development of neurodivergent children. With determination and guided by values such as integrity and justice, she acts with the purpose that inspires her every day: to love in order to transform lives.
Giselli Guarino Moreira works as Admissions Coordinator at Escola Internacional de Alphaville, with the mission of making every family feel welcome from the very first contact. With a degree in Business Administration and a postgraduate degree in Business Management, she has been working in the academic market for over 15 years. With a keen eye for the needs of parents and students, she offers clear guidance and support at every stage of the admissions process. Giselli values excellence, transparency, and dialogue, believing that education is a partnership that goes beyond the classroom. Her goal is to ensure that all children enter a stimulating and safe environment where they can grow academically, socially, and culturally.
Jacqueline de Freitas Cappellano is an educator with solid experience in Bilingual Education. An IB philosophy enthusiast, she believes in training global citizens through pedagogical practices that promote autonomy, critical thinking and interculturality. She has a degree in Pedagogy, postgraduate studies in Didactics for Bilingual Education and Psychopedagogy. She has worked as a bilingual teacher in Early Childhood Education and in the early years of Primary School. She is also the author of the scientific article Didactic Strategies that Effectively Contribute to Second Language Acquisition in a Bilingual Context. Currently, she is passionately dedicated to the pedagogical management of Early Childhood Education, contributing to the integral development of students in local and international contexts.
Educator with a solid academic background and extensive experience in bilingual and international schools, fluent in English and Spanish. She holds a PhD from USP from UENF, and has worked on research projects in molecular biology and biochemistry in Brazil and the USA. Since 2022, she has been the teaching coordinator for Elementary School II and IB-MYP at Escola Internacional de Alphaville, where she participated in the implementation and final authorization phase of the program. She has been teaching since 2012 with a focus on mathematics, science and teacher training. She has a degree in Math and a BA in Biological Sciences from USP, and currently studying Pedagogy. Has extensive training and experience in the IB curriculum (MYP and DP), active methodologies and positive psychology.
Marilda A B F Bardal, who has been passionate about education for over four decades, has a degree in Science, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, as well as a degree in Pedagogy with a qualification in School Administration and Supervision. Her journey at Escola Internacional de Alphaville began as a chemistry teacher and over the course of her 23 years she has held strategic positions within the institution. She was Pedagogical Coordinator for Secondary and Primary Education. She is currently the Coordinator of International and Institutional Relations and Vice-Director, representing the institution before public and private bodies, families and students. Since 2008, she has been personally escorting students on international trips and guiding them in their choice of universities around the world, leading the Future Pathways program, being responsible for the school's Alumni and also for the ' janelas para o Futuro ' (Windows to the Future) social volunteering project since 2004.
Passionate about technology since childhood, Mauricio has been officially studying the trends of each era since 1990. He consider himself a lucky Geekie to have covered some of the main steps that have built today's technological movements. Of these 35 years of study, around 25 have been spent in the field of education, where he has had the gratifying opportunity to bring technology and people together, developing personally and professionally. To perfect this balance, he did further training in Administration, complementing it with courses and training in people and process leadership. He's currently dedicates his time to immersing in the No-Code and Lo-Code movements and how they can support business and enrich knowledge and education.“Where your talents and the needs of the world cross, there lies your vocation” - Aristotle
Juliana Camargo Gomes is an experienced educator with over 25 years of experience in education, especially in bilingual and international contexts. A graduate of the Universidade de São Paulo (USP), she holds a degree in History and Education, with certifications in English Language and a postgraduate degree in School Management. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Positive Psychology, Science of Well-being, and Self-Actualization. Fluent in English and French, throughout her professional career she has built her career as a teacher, pedagogical coordinator, and educational consultant, with experience in teacher training and the development of curricula and pedagogical materials, working closely with students and teachers to build meaningful learning experiences based on care, active listening, and student leadership. Working for several years at the Escola Internacional de Alphaville, Juliana focuses her professional practice on building quality education based on consistent human relationships, intentional pedagogical practices, and environments in which students feel valued, challenged, and supported in their academic and personal development.
A professional with over 20 years' experience in operations and infrastructure, Paulo Rabazallo Neto works as a manager in the area, leading teams and implementing improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs. He holds a Global MBA in Business Administration, with a solid strategic vision and a focus on results. His career has been marked by leadership of large operational units and an interest in people development and education. Committed to innovation and the sustainable growth of organizations.
Peter Rifaat is an experienced educator and school leader. He serves as the High School Pedagogical Coordinator and IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, works in partnership with the ISP Future Pathways leadership, and also teaches the IB Diploma Theory of Knowledge (TOK). He played a key role in the implementation and successful authorisation of all three IB programmes — PYP, MYP, and DP — at Escola Internacional de Alphaville. His leadership fosters a cohesive and innovative learning environment, aligned with the IB philosophy and the values of the school. With extensive experience in curriculum development and academic coordination, Peter values student-centred learning, academic rigour, and a global outlook in education.
Priscila Sartori Martinez is a Pedagogue with a specialization in Neurolearning and Psychopedagogy. She has over 20 years' solid experience in the field of education, working with excellence on strategic and operational projects. She is recognized for her proactivity, systemic vision and leadership skills. Throughout her career, she has worked on various fronts - from the classroom to administrative leadership, developing skills in non-violent communication, innovation, continuous improvement and high performance. Committed to professional development, she is constantly updating herself to keep up with market changes.
