We aims to develop future-ready global citizens by combining academic rigor, loving education, and a wealth of innovative experiences. Its pedagogical approach is based on socioconstructivism and respect for individuality, encouraging autonomy, critical reflection, and the collective construction of knowledge in a bilingual environment that expands opportunities in Brazil and abroad.

Furthermore, we offer an educational program that combines the Brazilian curriculum (BNCC) with the international curriculum. We follow the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), which ensures students develop the skills and abilities required in Brazil. We also offer the IB Diploma Program (International Baccalaureate), offering the IB curriculum from Kids to High School. Along the way, students experience the PYP (Primary Years Programme) from Kids to Juniors 5, the MYP (Middle Years Programme) from Teens 6 to High School 1, and the DP (Diploma Programme) in High School 2 and High School 3, ensuring a comprehensive education within the IB Continuum.

The school offers a complete bilingual education journey, from preschool to high school, with immersive English learning from an early age, literacy consolidation in the early years, and encouragement of collaborative work and socio-emotional development. In the final years, students explore entrepreneurship, life projects, global studies, and innovation in areas such as science, technology, art, and mathematics.

Upon completing high school, students graduate prepared to face academic, professional, and personal challenges, aware of their role in the world, and capable of making independent and balanced choices.

IB stands for International Baccalaureate, a global educational organization that offers four programs for students of different ages, focusing on developing curious and critical young people for success in international universities and around the world. The best-known is the Diploma Programme (DP), a globally recognized qualification for secondary education that prepares students for university and to become global citizens.

The main difference is that the IB Certificate is awarded to students who complete specific subjects of the Diploma Programme (DP) without necessarily completing the full programme, while the IB Continuum is a school certification that guarantees that an institution offers all three IB programmes (PYP, MYP and DP) in an integrated and progressive way, providing a complete IB education throughout the student's trajectory.

Studying in an IB Continuum program is advantageous because it fosters the development of global citizens, focusing on critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical awareness, in addition to offering a holistic education and a globally recognized international curriculum. This approach prepares students for prestigious universities and for life, developing autonomy, research and communication skills, and a self-confident, continuous learning attitude.

We offer an Ethical relationships, well-being science and self-actualization program, which reflects our values in the daily practices of the school community. The program runs from Kids to High School and provides ongoing training for teachers and staff, ensuring an environment of respect, empathy, and acceptance.

Through it, we work on mediation, conflict prevention, and resolution, with anti-bullying initiatives and initiatives that develop socio-emotional and socio-moral skills. Our students learn to manage emotions, exercise empathy, practice compassionate and non-violent language, and respect differing opinions and diversity.

This comprehensive support ensures that they not only achieve academic excellence but also become autonomous, ethical, and resilient citizens prepared for the challenges of the 21st century, aligned with the skills that major global companies already seek in their professionals.

Wellbeing and Inclusivity FAQs

Our well-being programme is a structured, school-wide initiative that supports students’ social, emotional, moral and physical flourishing. It integrates into the curriculum and everyday life of the school to ensure that all students feel safe, valued and empowered.

Students in our programs benefit from carefully designed experiences for each age group, fostering social-emotional growth, ethical awareness, and character development. Juniors join Escola de Girafa, Teens participate in Venha ser Girafa!, and High School students engage in Project Vital, each tailored to their developmental stage.

In today’s fast-moving world, academic achievement is only one dimension of success. We believe that developing resilience, empathy, self-awareness, and healthy habits is just as critical for students to thrive and become responsible global citizens.

As children grow up increasingly connected to digital devices, especially mobile phones, it becomes essential to guide them in finding a healthy balance. Understanding and communicating the importance of reducing screen time helps promote meaningful social interactions, physical activity, and emotional well-being - all key aspects of a holistic education.

Every student – from Early Years through High School – is included. The programme is adapted for each age group to meet students where they are in their development.

Examples include:

  • Workshops and lessons on social-emotional skills (e.g., empathy, communication, self-regulation)
  • Activities integrated into the school curriculum to ensure consistent learning and practice of these skills
  • Peer & mentor opportunities
  • Structured reflection and inquiry-based projects
  • Healthy lifestyle education (nutritional awareness, physical activity, rest)
  • Restorative practices and conflict-resolution strategies
  • Whole-school culture initiatives to reinforce values of respect, gratitude and community.

Our well-being programme is rooted in our core values - International, Caring, Bilingual, Innovative, Unique. These values underpin everything we do, shaping how students learn, relate to others and engage with the world.

Families are partners. We communicate regularly about the programme’s themes and progress, fostering a strong connection between school and home. We promote in-person workshops with renowned professionals such as Dr. Cristiano Nabuco and Dr. Miriam Rodrigues, offering valuable insights into child development and well-being. We also encourage meaningful conversations at home that reinforce students’ growth, and we welcome feedback to continually adapt and strengthen the initiative.

Progress is measured through observations, self-reflections, student-led portfolios, teacher/mentor check-ins and whole-school climate surveys. The goal is growth rather than grading - we look at how students apply competencies and values in real situations, not only academic results.

We have dedicated wellbeing staff (counsellors, mentors) who collaborate with teachers, parents and students. If we identify a student needing more help - emotionally, socially or physically - we develop a personalised support plan with consent from parents/guardians.

We send regular updates via the parent portal, newsletters and invite families to events and information sessions. You can also schedule meetings with your child’s mentor or our wellbeing team anytime.
