In April 14th, Teens and High School students took part in an incredible experience: the rocket launch as part of OBAFOG – Olimpíada Brasileira de Foguetes. This event marked our first official participation, as part of the catalog of academic competitions offered to our students through the Núcleo de Estudos Olímpicos (NEO).OBAFOG is a hands-on, experimental competition, and our students were able to count on the support of Mr. Anderson and the infrastructure of our makerspace for the construction of their rockets using PET bottles. On the day of the launch at Parque Tietê Ecológico Barueri, students had the opportunity to test their creations with launches using compressed air propulsion methods (Teens, level 3) or the chemical reaction between vinegar (acetic acid) and baking soda (High School, level 4).It was incredibly moving to witness the excitement of our students. Projects like this encourage creativity, put knowledge into practice, and promote a spirit of overcoming challenges!Congratulations to our students!
