The J2 classes immersed themselves in reflections on the inquiry unit "Sharing the Planet," whose central idea is: "Humans impact nature."

The children explored natural resources and the economic activities that depend on them, such as agriculture, extractivism, and livestock farming. From these discussions, important conversations emerged about how humans can both transform and preserve the environment. Another key point of the unit was the reflection on human excesses and everyone's responsibility for environmental preservation, emphasizing that everyone must do their part, within their own circumstances.

To make this learning even more meaningful, we welcomed a special guest speaker, the coordinator Thalita Banti, who shared her personal experience on her family's farm. She spoke about the environmental impacts the farm has suffered over time and how conscious decisions, such as caring for animals and responsible land use, are ways to "do your part" to preserve nature. Furthermore, she highlighted the preservation of the water source through agroforestry and the use of solar energy on the property, initiatives that reinforce the commitment to sustainability and the preservation of natural resources for future generations.

The conversation provided an opportunity for students to reflect on each person's role in preserving the planet, realizing that small, everyday actions, within the context of each family, can generate significant changes.
