At our school, one of the great differentials is the Ethical Coexistence, Science of Well-Being and Self-Realization program. In it, our students are invited to rethink the way we treat others and develop strategies for living with more ethics, empathy and purpose. We believe that these values are strengthened when put into practice. It was in this spirit that, once again, our school mobilized for a beautiful act of solidarity. We organized a campaign to help two institutions: Amigo Mortadela and CCCA. Our goal was a bold one: to collect 600 Easter eggs and, with the involvement of the whole school community, we managed to reach that target!A group of T8 girls were invited to represent our school in the delivery to the CCCA. They stood out for their commitment to the campaign, collecting over 200 eggs together! More than just donations, they brought love, empathy, attentive listening and hospitality, values that we teach and experience on a daily basis at our school.Raquel and Letícia, two of the students who took part in the delivery, shared what it was like to live this transformative experience:“At first we were nervous, because we were afraid we wouldn't hit the target. We had to work as a group and have a lot of resilience. We went through ups and downs, but we remained resilient. Some of the eggs we bought online arrived in smaller sizes, which made us even more apprehensive. But on the day of delivery, everything went well, we beat and exceeded the target. And during the delivery, it was a moment when we disconnected from the world and focused only on them.”When asked about the importance of the action, the students reflected:“It was a learning moment. We were able to see other realities that seemed so far away, but were so close. We learned to be more grateful and to value what we have. Sometimes we don't value what we have, but there are people who have less.”And Leticia concludes:“Delivering the eggs to the children was a unique moment that will remain in our hearts forever.”Our purpose is to love in order to transform lives. And it is through actions like this that we continue to form human beings who are aware, supportive and ready to make a difference.
