The entire Escola Internacional de Alphaville infrastructure was planned to articulate our unique and innovative pedagogical proposal to cultivate citizens of the world: boys and girls who are critical thinkers with a sense of intellectual curiosity. A school with safe, dynamic, flowing and integrated areas is highly regarded.
Escola Internacional de Alphaville sits in the suburb of Alphaville, the municipal of Barueri, in São Paulo state. Alphaville was developed as a planned suburb, with an emphasis on high quality and security. It lies 15 km west of the city of Sao Paulo and it neighbours the main residential lots in Alphaville and Tambore. Our campus is set upon an area of 14,800m² and boasts a safe and welcoming infrastructure. Parents can safely drop off and pick up their children by driving into the school, and there are pick up and drop off points exclusive to children between 1 to 5 years of age.
The founders of Escola Internacional de Alphaville believe in the importance of purposefully planning areas that foster interaction and promote learning. In this sense, the school's facilities were exclusively designed for accessibility and learning for children from 1 year of age onwards.
Upon entering the school, you will instantly perceive innovation and the educational spaces around the school will enchant you. The school is made accessible by ramps and an elevator. All in all, Escola Internacional de Alphaville was carefully and affectionately planned and built by the founders to promote the best possible experience for the school community.
Planning began in 1996, and over the following four years the project was approved and construction began with meticulous attention to detail - it was not merely the construction of a building - it was the construction of a vision! This is how the largest PreK-12 Brazilian school of bilingual education began. The incredible structure of the school contains more than 50 classrooms, laboratories, multisport gymnasium, indoor heated swimming pool, refectory that seats about 300 people, a 180 seat theatre, film and recording studio, a MakerSpace lab, areas to socialise for each age segment, high-tech projectors and smartboards in all classrooms, powerful WiFi to access technology in all areas of the school (the life@school project), and even a large generator to guarantee that classes remain uninterrupted in the case of a blackout.
The early childhood learning is a prime piece of architecture, a marvelous project better known as the ‘International Village’ complete with roads, footpaths, mini-houses and lots of colour.
The inspiration and ideas behind this project came from experience and a profound knowledge of education. The founders have had a distinct role in education for over 60 years, in which time they built and administered Brazilian schools and universities. They have also visited some of the best schools around the world and paid particular attention to every detail of every project in the growth of Escola Internacional. Everything was carefully thought out so that all areas of the school foster learning and inspire students of all ages from 1 year olds to teensagers at the end of High School.
