TWENTY BEST IN SÃO PAULO

As can be verified in the newspaper O Estado de São Paulo (see above) and in Brazilian press all over, the International School of Alphaville obtained expressive results in the National Examination for High School (ENEM) 2008, which is used for appraising schools which offer the most qualified education all over Brazil.

Af if to corroborate the excellence of its pedagogic proccess, the International School of Alphaville reached 14th place among more than 7 thousand schools evaluated in the state of São Paulo.

If only schools in the area are included, results couldn´t be more auspicious: the International Scool was the one which obtained the best achievement among all.

Serious work, consistent pedagogic project, highly qualified teachers, modern infra-structure, state of the art equipment, focus on the preparation of entrepreneurial citizens, who are socially engaged: and in summary, a comprising pedagogic project which results in students who are well prepared to face challenges, with accurate critical awareness , observant of what is happening around the world.

“Our students have high level, and are very well coached by our teachers in specific evaluations”, reflects the Director and member of the Maintenance Council of the International School Roberto Chioccarello.

“This is not the result of just one year of work, but of long term preparation, promoted since the child enters the International School, and which is intensified in High School”, evaluates High School Coordinator Marilda Bardal. “Our students understand that the ENEM is a consequence of the development of learning which happens on a daily basis”, she adds.

It is worth mentioning that High School students at the International School are, since the first year of High School, stimulated to understand the importance of participating in ENEM, as well as other similar tests, such as the mock tests from UNICAMP and USP.

Field trips, such as the one recently made to Brasília, where students could learn in depth details of political life in Brazil, by interviewing Federal Representatives and Senators and visit the National Congress and the Itamaraty Palace, are also a relevant pedagogic tool.

Besides this, the result obtained by the International School would not be possible without the admirable dedication and involvement of teachers and collaborators and students’ determination.
