The technological development and the globalization of the economical and cultural relastionships in the last quarter of the Twentieth Century and beginning of the Twenty-First Century have brought some discomfort and uncertanties, as well as considerable behavioral changes in people and institutions of the contemporary society, and such changes cannot be negleted by the schools.

Education has the role of helping the students understand this new global scenario, to which they belong, by developing a more critical and reflexive analysis.

Today, the schools all over the planet, educate the children and the young adults who will lead the world tomorrow, and the development of abilities, competences, social skills and values in the classroom will determine the future.

We, educators, are, therefore, facing  the enormous challenge of educating within this context. We must teach the students to think, to learn how to learn, stimulate them to raise and solve daily problems, lead them to develop their intelectual, interpersonal and intrapsychical competences, as well as their sensibility and emotional balance in order to become agents of social transformation for a better world  with a fair and sustainable development.

However, to achieve this goal effectively and efficiently, the parents need to be our partners, for we have the same objective: high-quality education facing the complexity of the contemporary society.

In these school years, the adolescents must be stimulated to build their life project, to make career choices, to study the job market, to prepare for the university entrance exam (vestibular) to assume social responsability and to improve their characters.

In order to achieve this goal, the High-school of the Escola Internacional de Alphaville focuses on three main points :

Social Projects.
