THE VEGETABLE GARDEN

A proper space with flowerbeds where classes develop projects to plant  greens, vegetables, leguminous plants, etc.

Through this activity children learn how to take care of the environment, nature and begin to have some notions of ecology.


THE MINI-ZOO

Contact with differente sorts of animals contributes to shaping citizens.

At the Escola Internacional Preschool awareness is a constant exercise.

Frequently, our preschool students leave their classrooms to go to the mini zoo to do research.

During this contact with the animals, they experience care and respect for lively beings and their environment.

Accompanied by the teachers, they learn, while watching the person in charge of the zoo, feed different species, ask questions, raise hypotheses, make observations about animal reproduction, and accompany the birth of a new life and the correct way of touching and holding it.

Around 25 species live in the Mini Zoo of the International School,with a total of about 300 animals.

Every year we have new lambs being born. It is always an excting experience for the kids who can follow the first few days and the growth of these animals.

After their visit to the Zoo, in their Conversation Circle, the children develop activities, about the observations they had during the visit.

It's in these privileged environments the Escola Internacional provides for its students that are developed projects of human values, such as "Solidarity anditizenship, ways of changing the world".

As we can see, respect of life and the environment are a constant concern of the school.
